As we all look to space this week with British astronaut Tim Peake’s launch into orbit, and of course not forgetting the premier of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the team at NGD are also pleased to be reaching for the stars and breaking a few box office records of our own!
In fact 2015 has been a stellar growth year for NGD which is all the more encouraging since we’ve grown significantly every year during our six year history. Here’s a few of the year’s highlights:
- Our customer base is expanding, including both large corporate clients, as well as the channel partners which manage our smaller and fast growing business customers
- We have now sold 75% of the ground floor of our 750,000 sq ft building, the equivalent to about 6000 racks
- As we speak we are completing our nineteenth data hall following a £10M build out project on behalf of a global computer company
- This followed an £8M expansion phase completed earlier this year where five halls, now all sold, were required for several multinational customers and more space for local businesses and channel partners
With 2016 promising to be an equally, if not more, exciting year for NGD, we would welcome the opportunity of discussing your cloud, web, big data or other data intensive computing requirements in the near future. No matter what size or stage your business, your data security is a top priority. All the more, in the kind of world we live in today.
If you’re contemplating how to keep your data safe and secure in 2016, and beyond, you probably have two options. Go it alone with your own data centre and hire security guards, deploy anti-ram raid defences, bomb proof glass, infra-red detection, CCTV, not to mention resilient infrastructure with high capacity and diverse power feeds, and superfast low latency networks.
Alternatively, save considerable time and costs by moving your IT to a modern colocation data centre like our tier 3 facility which has done all of this already – and much more in terms of offering professional services and other business initiatives.
For example, this year we’ve added rack and stack services to make it even easier for customers wishing to migrate their servers from their offices or data centres into NGD’s facility. We’ve also launched our first ‘out of the box’ entry level data centre packages for those customers initially needing just a quarter or half rack – from as little as £15 per day.
Underpinning everything, is our abundant availability of power, scalable space, excellent choice of fibre connectivity, and first-class on-site engineering support. These have been instrumental in driving our business forward.
From us all at NGD here’s wishing you Compliments of the Season and a Happy New Year. May the force be with you!
