Built to Tier 3 standards NGD’s 180MW ultimate capacity - more than enough to power a city - would be nothing without continuity of supply. 97% of UK power faults occur in the distribution network, so as our Data Centre is directly connected to the Super Grid via our own diverse links and circuit breakers this risk is minimised. No other UK Data Centre has this advantage. And with ever higher compute densities being demanded, many UK data centres are currently, or ultimately power limited.
Consistent and reliable power is important for both the IT equipment and the cooling solutions we provide. We can support up to 60kW per rack – enough even for the most demanding HPC environments. This is backed up by our team of highly qualified data centre engineers who are on site 24x7.
All NGD’s power comes from renewable sources. Our power is low cost and green. Meeting Tier 3+ Data Centre standards, we have comprehensive UPS, backup on site generators and fully redundant power distribution from the Super Grid to each Data Hall. We can concurrently maintain all elements of plant. To date, we’ve not encountered a power specification we could not deliver.
