NGD and Next Connex sign licensing agreement
Inside Networks .com, May 2010
Next Generation Data (NGD) and data centre virtual network operator (VNO), Next Connex, have signed a carrier connectivity licensing agreement. Large organisations contending with London and the south east’s high data centre costs, power constraints and potential security threats, will now have real choice.
NGD Europe’s colocation and managed hosted provider (MHP) customers will be the first in Europe to have access to such a wide range of secure carrier-neutral connections, without being tied to the usual long-term fixed lease line contracts. Customers will also be able to maximise the inherent business benefits of NGD Europe’s lower space costs, massive scalability, huge power resources and lower exposure to potential security threat.
‘With out innovative VNO multiple carrier connectivity solution we are offering CIOs even more peace of mind and major cost advantages by bringing Newport to London and reassuring them that out-of-town does not mean out of touch’ said Nick Razey, CEO of NGD.
